My Dearest, Darling Beloved Charlotte,
Well darling I'm back but I sure as hell wish I wasn't, because all I can think of night and day is you honey, gee how I wish we were married then I would really have some to howler about. Baby I ran into a Boy that knows you pretty good and him and I had quite a good talk. Don't worry sparky. I still love you like I always will.
[Col?] and I got to come all the way together, so we got pretty darn drunk on the train. I haven't seen him for a coupple of days and I won't get to see him for a week because I'm at gunner school for a week as you see by the stationary.
I hope you'll excuse my writing because I'm laying in my bunk with some darn fool kicking the bottom you know where.
By the way, how's Betty comming along ok we hope. Tell her I said hello. I won't be getting any mail until I get back to skip and I also don't get any [liberty?] for a week. So, if one of us does any stepping you know who it will be.
Darling I'll always remember those nights we had together and the only thing I regret is that we didn't have more of them. Darling that last night we dance together was one of the best moments of my leave even though you were mad. But your such a good dancer it made my big feet feel like they were walking on air. And besides I love you when your mad. Honest I do baby.
Well Chick its going to be pretty dull around here, after getting used to the things I did at home. Well darling I'm going to have a hard day tomorrow. So I'll sign off for now. Write and let me no if you get married which you better not. But maybe that was a mean line you handed me while were together.
Well so long for now baby.
All my love.
All my life.
