My Dearest, Darling, Beloved Charlotte,

Well Baby it is now 10 mins to 10 oclock and lights out at 10 oclock so I'll probably have to finnish tomorrow, I'm feeling ok except for a hell of a hard cold. I just won a couple dollar in a small porker game all I need is three more and a leave and I would be a (hook?) man. Well Baby there goes the Bugle so I'll finnish tomorrow, my love.

Hello darling here I'm again and it is now 7:20 A.M. July 26, 2945 and I just finnish chow and there was no beer for desert. This is a heck of a phase no liberty, no beer, no nothing just like boot campitwas better then this y a long ways. You don't have to worry about there being any wommen around here. The only ones is married with a kid or two, and expecting a couple more and I'm not kidding.

Well darling as far as I know there isn't much news except we ship out Aug 8. The first stop will probably be San Diego then P. H. [Pearl Harbor] and form there I'll probably be making liberty in Japan.

Well Darling here I'm again and it is now 6:00P.M. and I would give anything to have you here with me. We could do Washington up in good shage.

Monday we get back to the ship and I will get my mail and I sure hope theres some from you. Well there better be. I got to find out what the dope is you know, who knows it mite be me. That wasn't funny was it I didn't think so either.

Well darling a couple of the boys want me to go with them so I'd better close for now. So I'll write again soon. So long Baby.

All my love
All my life.
Louie
